Purchased a Quantellics NinjaTrader indicator, strategy, or Add-On?

Getting it installed takes only a few minutes.

Quantellics products are designed to run directly inside NinjaTrader Desktop. They are not standalone applications, so NinjaTrader must already be installed on your Windows computer before you install your Quantellics product.

This guide walks you through the complete setup.

Step 1 — Make Sure NinjaTrader Desktop Is Installed

Quantellics NinjaTrader products run inside NinjaTrader 8 Desktop.

If you already use NinjaTrader, you can skip to the next step.

If you’re new to NinjaTrader, install NinjaTrader Desktop first and confirm that you can open the Control Center.

NinjaTrader Desktop is Windows-based. Mac users normally run NinjaTrader through a Windows environment such as Parallels or a Windows VPS.

Step 2 — Download Your Quantellics Product

After purchasing your Quantellics indicator or Add-On, download the installation file provided with your order.

The file will normally look similar to:

QuantellicsProductName.zip

For example:

QuantellicsTradeCopier.zip

or:

QuantellicsLastRedLine.zip

Important: Do Not Unzip the File

Leave the downloaded .zip file exactly as it is.

NinjaTrader imports NinjaScript packages directly from the ZIP archive. The standard NinjaTrader installation workflow specifically uses the downloaded .zip as the import file.

Step 3 — Open NinjaTrader

Launch NinjaTrader Desktop.

Wait until the main Control Center window appears.

From the Control Center menu choose:

Tools
   ↓
Import
   ↓
NinjaScript Add-On

The standard NinjaScript installation process uses this exact menu path.

Step 4 — Select the Quantellics ZIP File

When the file browser appears, locate the Quantellics .zip file you downloaded.

For example:

Downloads
   └── QuantellicsTradeCopier.zip

Select the file and click:

Open

NinjaTrader will begin importing the Add-On.

Depending on the product, NinjaTrader may display a security or third-party Add-On warning.

Review the message and continue with the import.

Step 5 — Confirm Successful Installation

When NinjaTrader finishes importing the package, you should receive a confirmation that the NinjaScript Add-On was imported successfully.

If the installation completes successfully, the next step is important:

Restart NinjaTrader

Close NinjaTrader completely and start it again.

Restarting NinjaTrader ensures the newly installed assemblies, indicators, and Add-On components are fully loaded. The reference installation guide also explicitly recommends restarting NinjaTrader after an import.

Step 6 — Find Your Quantellics Product

Where the product appears depends on the type of Quantellics software you purchased.

Quantellics Indicators

If you purchased an indicator:

  1. Open a NinjaTrader chart.
  2. Right-click anywhere on the chart.
  3. Select Indicators.
  4. Find the Quantellics indicator in the list.
  5. Select it.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Configure the indicator settings.
  8. Click Apply or OK.

The standard NinjaTrader workflow for indicators is to add them from the chart’s Indicators window.

You may see products such as:

Quantellics Last Red Line
Quantellics Volume Zones
Quantellics Trading Indicators

depending on which products you purchased.

Step 7 — Opening Quantellics Add-Ons

Some Quantellics products are not traditional chart indicators.

Products such as:

Trade Copiers
Dashboards
Account Management Tools
Risk Management Tools
Trading Utilities

may open as their own NinjaTrader window or panel.

After restarting NinjaTrader, check:

Control Center
   ↓
New

for the installed Quantellics Add-On.

The exact location depends on the individual product, because NinjaTrader Add-Ons can appear as independent windows or specialized chart panels.

Your Quantellics product documentation will specify exactly where to open it.

Installing an Updated Version

When Quantellics releases a new version of an indicator or Add-On, download the new .zip file.

Then use:

NinjaTrader Control Center
        ↓
Tools
        ↓
Import
        ↓
NinjaScript Add-On

Select the updated ZIP file and complete the import.

Afterward:

Restart NinjaTrader.

If NinjaTrader reports that an existing assembly or older version conflicts with the new installation, you may need to remove the previous NinjaScript assembly before importing the updated version. The reference guide recommends using Tools → Remove NinjaScript Assembly when an older assembly prevents an update.

If the Import Fails

If NinjaTrader reports an import error, don’t repeatedly reinstall the same file.

First check these common issues.

2. An older version is already installed

From NinjaTrader Control Center:

Tools
   ↓
Remove NinjaScript Assembly

Locate the previous Quantellics assembly, remove it, restart NinjaTrader, and then import the newest version.

This is also the recommended approach when an older NinjaScript assembly causes duplicate-method or version-conflict errors.

3. NinjaTrader Needs to Be Restarted

Some NinjaScript components will not appear until NinjaTrader has been restarted.

Close NinjaTrader completely and reopen it.

4. NinjaScript Compilation Errors Already Exist

Sometimes an unrelated custom NinjaScript installed previously can prevent new scripts from compiling correctly.

Open:

Control Center
   ↓
New
   ↓
NinjaScript Editor

and check whether NinjaTrader reports compilation errors.

An error in another custom indicator can occasionally interfere with installation even when the Quantellics product itself is valid.
